In 2009 the OM Club set up
The Monmothian Charitable Trust
to
financially support pupils by way of Scholarships or
Bursaries, or provide support for such things as Sporting,
Educational and Musical tours

from OMs is enormously helpful making a vast difference to

The
Monmothian Charitable Trust is a registered
charity which can attract Gift Aid, a UK tax
incentive that enables tax-effective giving
by individuals in the United Kingdom. It
allows individuals who are subject to UK
income tax to complete a simple, short
declaration that they are a UK taxpayer. Any
cash donations that the taxpayer makes to
the charity after making a declaration are
treated as being made after deduction of
income tax and the charity can reclaim the
income tax paid on the gift from HMRC
Most of our
members have redirected their subscriptions
to support the Trust, as the interest on our
capital and subscriptions received from
pupils currently at school are sufficient to
fund the Old Monmothian Club social and
sporting requirements. |
