Old Monmothian, Angus Whitehead has taken up an exciting sailing job in the Caribbean. Fresh from a yacht delivery over Christmas, he is now Captain of the Friendship Rose in Bequia, the second-largest island in the Grenadines.
Angus, 19, has grown in confidence after qualifying as a professional offshore yacht-master. The young sailor has gained his Bequian driving licence and is enjoying his latest sea adventure, leading a crew of four Bequian natives, including a professional chef.
The Old Monmothian takes scheduled sailing trips to Mustique twice a week and also Tobago Cays twice a week; the other days are set aside for private charters.
