Queen's Counsel

Past Club President, Anu Mohindru, a Barrister at Foundry Chambers, has been appointed Queen’s Counsel in the 2019 competition. Anu will receive his appointment on Monday 16th March 2020 at The Palace of Westminster.


Anu specialises in all areas of financial crime and POCA proceedings. He also handles general criminal cases, having acted for defendants indicted on terrorist charges, murder and people smuggling. He is instructed as both a Leading Junior and Junior Counsel in defence cases and is a skilled advocate, with a strong courtroom presence.

Anu has a medical background, which gives him an advantage when acting for clients in criminal cases in which medical experts are involved, including murder trials, and he acted in the M25 rape trial. He is a qualified Arbitrator and Mediator and is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu. Anu is a keen sportsman; cricket being his main sport, which he played professionally in his earlier years. Not only does he play for the Bar team, but he has turned out for the famous Lashings World XI and the MCC.
